NADINE

NADINE LANGWEIL

Nickname: Nadl

Birthday: September 27, 1997

Place of residence: Vienna

What makes you happy:

With THE FREAKS I can travel to other countries and inspire people from all over the world with our shows. The energy that comes up on stage when it’s “Showtime” makes me come alive from head to toe and cannot be compared to any other feeling. I’m particularly happy when we, as a team, train hard and long for a performance, deliver the best show possible and get a thunderous applause and standing ovations from the audience as a reward.

What makes you angry:

When it’s time for choreography rehearsals before a performance, where we make a run-through of every individual show step by step until everything is clear and this has to take place in the cold because there isn’t enough space somewhere else and I get tired because the whole thing just doesn't seem to come to an end since some people are still unable to memorize changes in the choreography even after the hundredth time.

What was your biggest Freaks-moment:

It was always a dream of mine to experience the Life Ball in Vienna up close and to look behind the scenes of the largest and at the same time the shrillest fundraiser in Europe. The fact that I then had the opportunity to be the focus of the opening as a live act filled me with euphoria and is definitely one of my greatest Freak-moments.

How was it for you when you were accepted into THE FREAKS:

In 2008 around Christmas time I got a call from O.C., where he asked me if I would like to take part in an acrobatics performance at the New Year's Ball 2009 in St. Valentin, which in retrospect marked the very first show of THE FREAKS. At that time, I was a gymnast of the general gymnastics club in St. Valentin and came in course of this performance into contact with acrobatics for the first time. And although I did not know yet where the journey with this group would take me, I was already on fire for this performance.

What do you do when you are not with THE FREAKS:

Fitness workouts, spending time with my friends or family, traveling, and eating well.

Your favorite quote:

"It always seems impossible until it's done" - Nelson Mandela

How about a person who is the opposite of you:

Boring and uninterested. Because the crazier and more exciting experience is, the better. Despite the fact that I've become a milquetoast, I'm still more of an adrenaline junkie and I love things that make my heart beat faster. In addition to that, I always strive to develop myself further in every way. For this reason, a person who never breaks out of their comfort zone and isn’t interested in learning new things would be the opposite of me.

What do you want to achieve with THE FREAKS in the next few years:

I would like to continue traveling the globe together as a team, get to know new cities and countries, and inspire people from all over the world with our shows.

Name 3 words you can think of THE FREAKS:
