MARKUS MARINGER
Nickname: Max
Birthday: April 26, 1993
Residence: Ennsdorf
What makes you happy:
Share experiences with my friends. Travel with them through the world and conjure astonishment in the face of the audience.
What makes you angry:
When we train an element and there is no ambition to improve something or to learn. When time is wasted at the expense of my physical performance.
What was your biggest Freaks-moment:
Going to America with THE FREAKS was one of my biggest Freak moments. The trip to the USA was more than just a vacation and I could never have experienced it without TheFreaks. So much action, so much fun with such good friends, made it one of the freak's greatest moments for me.

How was it for you when you were accepted into THE FREAKS:
In 2009, before the freaks' first big show, I got a call from O.C., who was looking for committed young men. Since I was attending Sport Borg in Linz at that time and was able to enjoy a good general sports education, I mastered the circus and gymnastics skills required and the crucial question, "Are you funny?", I answered YES. In the same week, my freak career started.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not with THE FREAKS:
In my free time, I try to do as many sports as possible and I like to get excited about new things. Sitting around lazily is not an option for me and I always try to learn new skills or gain new experiences.
Your favorite quote:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - H. Jackson Brown Jr.
How about a person who is the opposite of you:
I am a person who always strives for progress and new things. My goal is to be open to new and eternal learning. The opposite of me would be a very frugal person who is satisfied with the status quo and prefers the standstill to progress.
What do you want to achieve with THE FREAKS in the next few years:
I would like to give shows outside of Europe in the next few years. Past shows have shown that such trips are always accompanied by a story that you will remember for a lifetime. I look forward to the future and the next big shows that will await us and the stories that we will be able to tell about them.
Name 3 words that come to mind at THE FREAKS:
impressive, grandiose, phenomenal
